This is Cebu City
A very small city, so small the Manilenyos (people who grew up in Manila) still call people from Cebu "probinsyanos" or "probinsyanas" (people from the rural areas).
But it's cool. Although there are plenty of party scenes and things going on in Manila, Cebu located at the heart of the Philippines has everything else they don't have... and have!
We have a rich culture of artists, a healthy population who knows what good music is about, none of the 2-hour traffic the other cities have (although I must admit, things are starting to get congested in Cebu), and best of all the beach is just 15 to 20 minutes away. None of the 3 to 7-hour drive Manilenyos endure to get to a decent beach!
So this is where I was born, grew up, got wasted during teens, fell in love, got heartbroken, fell in love again, had kids, got uprooted, and now being stuck with a job, corporate-whoring myself to death, I go home every weekend just so I could get a taste of home and love, and be ready for another work week.
So this spot is for those who love Cebu and those who would love to visit Cebu soon.
